Hi!

Welcome to my online portfolio!

I have been an artist since I was born, however, I didn’t really become interested in the art of tattooing until I was 17 years old. I didn’t even know what a tattoo was until I was 15, because I had never been exposed to the culture. While I was in high school, several of my friends asked me to design tattoos for them, which I did and in turn had an opportunity to see my artwork transformed into a tattoo. This made me want to learn the trade. I figured I would start by getting tattooed and watching the artist perform my tattoo. I would save up my money and get my artwork tattooed on me whenever I could afford it. It was always my own design with the artist’s style added to make it a somewhat proper tattoo. I would ask all sorts of questions while getting inked, usually annoying the heck out of the artist! But I knew that was necessary to start figuring things out, and I slowly became aware of how a tattoo was created from start to finish. After several failed attempts at acquiring an apprenticeship, fate stepped in and I met Jay McKay at Lucky Devil. I got several tattoos from him and hung out at the shop whenever I had free time, always learning and helping out if it was needed. Someone I knew at the factory I worked at had some tattooing equipment that he was looking to get rid of and he gave it to me. I used his equipment to start practicing on fruit; like grapefruits and honey-dew melons, which I would then freeze and bring in for Jay to critique. Finally, Jay gave in and took me on as his apprentice!

I ended up working with Jay for a few years, but we eventually split paths and I went to work for another tattoo shop. These were my dark years. I had to struggle for years, just trying to make a living, while adhering to my goal of performing the best tattoos I could. I finally got a break and got myself a job at Lucky Devil, Barrie, working with Jay again. I truly believe that the positive change of environment was the thing that I needed in order to advance my tattooing skills. I have also traveled to a few different shops to do guest appearances (Tattoos.no – Norway, Sinful Inflictions – Whitby, Motorcity Tattoo – Oshawa, New World Samurai – Alberta, Citrus City Tattoo – Orangeville, Pick Your Poison – Toronto) and learn new techniques, ultimately, bringing myself to Adrenaline Tattoo Toronto, where I currently work. I have also successfully completed several courses1 related to my industry and will continue to educated myself on a regular basis. Ultimately, my goal is to provide excellent customer service and quality tattoos in a safe and comfortable environment, and to have a ton of fun doing it!
